Cleanliness
There was a king. Beloved of the people. Striving for the welfare of the people. The subjects obeyed the king, but there was no unity among them. Rules were not followed in the state, many places were unsanitary. The king got tired of telling his poor subjects. Then finally, when it got too dirty, the court servants had to clean it themselves. The subjects also thought, why should we clean, someone else will do it, if not the king. The king was disgusted with this behavior of the subjects. But what to do, take care.
Once a terrible epidemic disease spread in that state. Many people started getting infected with that disease. Doctors in the state did not understand the cause of the disease. But there was a different disease, and they realized that the spread of filth exacerbated the disease. Three to four people were dying every day. But the people are dumb. Desperate to think that someone else will do the cleaning. Own houses are clean but surroundings, public places are dirty.
The distressed king began to pray to God. Someone suggested, perform a yagna. He beat Dawandi in the state. “Tomorrow the king has decided to perform a yagna. All should be present, so that the crisis on our state will be resolved”. Everyone gathered at the place where the yajna was scheduled. Everyone was praying to God in high spirits. In the meantime, the air was on. A voice came from the cloud. “If you want to get rid of this epidemic, tomorrow, on the night of Amvasya, all the citizens should pour one bucket of milk into a dry well near the village. Only then will it be beneficial”
People were scared. I started thinking about what to do. Everyone reported the news to their homes, and prepared for tomorrow. A man in the state thought, if not everyone is going to pour buckets of milk, let's pour a bucket of water. Who knows what will happen on the night of Amavasya? And no one will know a bucket of water in so much milk. He did the same, secretly took a bucket of water from the house and poured it into the well.
The next day the king got up early, inspected the village, and saw that, in the morning, the two men were in great condition. Does this mean that Akashvani was fake or what? But how will this happen? Something is wrong. He thought of something and went near that well. What if you look into the well and see, the well is full of water. It was exactly what he expected. He called all the citizens together at the well and showed them a well filled with water. See, you all think “someone else pours milk into the well, why bother, and the picture is right in front of your eyes” when it comes to hygiene. It is everyone's duty.
Is this always the case in society? Is this what most people think about when they have to do a group task? Have people come to the understanding that “why us, someone else will do it”? Call it your bad luck or call it carelessness, many times there are more people who think like this. That is why.
It is our good fortune that our country today has a leader who has made a demand of his subjects in this regard. Let us all do our duty. Leave politics aside and do social work.
