The fruit of hard work
There lived an old farmer in a village. He had five children and all of them were very lazy.
They always wondered what would happen to their lazy children after they left, and how would their world go? On this the farmer gets an idea and one day he calls all five of his sons and tells them that their ancestors buried a bucket full of gold coins in the field. When I go to the village, you should dig the field and take the money and divide it among yourselves.
The next day, after going to that farmer's village, all five of them dug all the fields to get the gold dowry, but they did not find the gold dowry. Then he thought that so much field had been dug so that he could sow grain in it, so he sowed grain there. At that time the rains were also good and the crops they sowed gave them a good income.
They went to the market and sold it and got a lot of money. After the father came from the village, all the five children told the incident to the father. Then he said, 'I was telling you about this money, if you work like this, you will continue to get the same money every year.'
Moral: The fruits of labor are always sweet.
कष्टाचे फळ
एका गावात एक म्हातारा शेतकरी रहात होता. त्याला पाच मुले होती व ती सर्वच्या सर्व खूप आळशी होती त्यांना कष्ट करणे माहितच नव्हते ते फक्त वडिलांच्या पैशांवर मजा करायचे.
त्यांच्या मनात नेहमी विचार यायचा की आपण गेल्यानंतर आपल्या आळशी मुलांचे कसे होणार, व त्यांचा संसार कसा चालणार? यावर त्या शेतकऱ्याला एक कल्पना सुचते व ते एके दिवशी आपल्या पाचही मुलांना जवळ बोलवितात व त्यांना सांगतात की आपल्या पूर्वजांनी शेतामधील एक सोन्याच्या नाण्यांनी भरलेला एक हंडा पुरलेला आहे. मी गावाला गेल्यावर तुम्ही शेत खणा व धन काढून ते आपापसात वाटून घ्या.
दुसऱ्या दिवशी तो शेतकरी गावाला गेल्यानंतर त्या पाचही जणांनी सोन्याचा हंडा मिळविण्यासाठी सर्व शेत खणून काढले पण त्यांना सोन्याचा हंडा सापडला नाही. मग त्यांनी विचार केला की एवढे शेत खणले आहे तर यात धान्य पेरावे म्हणून त्यांनी तेथे धान्य पेरले. त्यावेळेस पाऊसही चांगला पडला व त्यांनी पेरलेल्या धान्यामुळे त्यांना भरघोस उत्पन्न मिळाले.
त्यांनी ते बाजारात जावून विकले व त्यांना भरपूर धन मिळाले. गावाहून वडील आल्यानंतर त्या पाचही मुलांनी झालेला प्रकार वडीलांना सांगितला. तेव्हा ते बोलले, ‘मी तुम्हाला याच धनाबद्दल सांगत होतो जर तुम्ही अशीच मेहनत केली तर तुम्हाला दरवर्षी असेच धन मिळत राहील.’
बोध : कष्टाचे फळ हे नेहमी गोड असते.
