The parrot
A rich man had a parrot. He kept that parrot in a big and beautiful cage. He used to feed him good fruits. All the pleasures were favorable to that parrot, but he always had this in his mind. 'Just as my Jatbhai freely move from one forest to another and jump from one branch to another. How nice it would be if I could do that.' One day the parrot's wish came true when the door of the cage was accidentally left open.
The parrot hurriedly came out of the cage and sat on a long mango tree. After a while he got hungry. Then he started looking around. There was a flash, the sound of the clouds and it started raining. That poor parrot was very distressed. He was never used to such a thing. In the end, he died there due to rain and cold. He said as he died. 'If I could go back into that cage, I would never want to get out of it again.'
