Parents are always on the lookout for great moral stories for kids. However, we believe that kids learn the morals of stories even if they aren’t explicitly mentioned. When a story is well-written, the takeaway, or the moral of the story, is readily apparent. Such lessons get absorbed far more than if they are spelt out. Today we are going to read Moral Story - Count Wisely .
One day, king Akbar asked a question in his court that left everyone in the courtroom puzzled. As they all tried to figure out the answer, Birbal walked in and asked what the matter was. They repeated the question to him.
The question was, “How many crows are there in the city?”
Birbal immediately smiled and went up to Akbar. He announced the answer; he said there were twenty-one thousand, five hundred and twenty-three crows in the city. When asked how he knew the answer, Birbal replied, “Ask your men to count the number of crows. If there are more, then the relatives of the crows must be visiting them from nearby cities. If there are fewer, then the crows from our city must be visiting their relatives who live outside the city.” Pleased with the answer, Akbar presented Birbal with a ruby and pearl chain.
Moral of the Story
Having an explanation for your answer is just as important as having an answer.

हुशारीने मोजा
पालक नेहमी मुलांसाठी उत्तम नैतिक कथांच्या शोधात असतात. तथापि, आमचा असा विश्वास आहे की मुले कथांचे नैतिकता शिकतात जरी त्यांचा स्पष्टपणे उल्लेख केला नसला तरीही. जेव्हा एखादी कथा चांगली लिहिली जाते, तेव्हा टेकअवे किंवा कथेची नैतिकता सहज दिसून येते. असे धडे उच्चारले तर त्यापेक्षा कितीतरी पटीने जास्त आत्मसात होतात. आज आपण नैतिक कथा - हुशारीने मोजा वाचणार आहोत.
एके दिवशी, राजा अकबराने त्याच्या दरबारात एक प्रश्न विचारला ज्यामुळे दरबारातील सर्वजण गोंधळून गेले. सर्वांनी उत्तर शोधण्याचा प्रयत्न केला असता बिरबल आत गेला आणि काय आहे ते विचारले. त्यांनी त्याला प्रश्न पुन्हा केला.
प्रश्न होता, "शहरात किती कावळे आहेत?"
बिरबल लगेच हसला आणि अकबराकडे गेला. त्यांनी उत्तर जाहीर केले; तो म्हणाला शहरात एकवीस हजार, पाचशे तेवीस कावळे होते. त्याला उत्तर कसे कळले असे विचारल्यावर बिरबलाने उत्तर दिले, “तुमच्या माणसांना कावळ्यांची संख्या मोजायला सांगा. जर जास्त असतील तर जवळच्या शहरातून कावळ्यांचे नातेवाईक त्यांना भेटायला येत असावेत. जर कमी असतील तर आमच्या शहरातील कावळे शहराबाहेर राहणाऱ्या त्यांच्या नातेवाईकांना भेटायला येत असतील.” उत्तराने खूश होऊन अकबराने बिरबलाला माणिक आणि मोत्याची साखळी दिली.
