Honest watcher
Once Shivaji Maharaj was going to Rajgad from Torna. Rajgad was still far away. But there was very little time left for sunset. It was not possible to reach Rajgad. Naturally, the Maharaja decided to stay at a fortified fort on the way. Within a short time Maharaj along with his companions reached the desired small fort. But the day was late and the gates of that fort were also closed.

But it was not even half past midnight. Maharaj was with him. Everyone believed that they would find a way.
Seeing that the gates of the fort were closed, Maharaj moved forward. He called out, "Who is beyond? Open the door."
"Who are you?" asked the guard.
Hearing the guard's shouts, Maharaja smiled. Suppressing a smile, Maharaj said, "We are Maharaj."
But the watchman at the door not only did not know Maharaj, but how could he recognize Maharaj's voice. He thought it was some enemy move. Someone is trying to enter in the name of Maharaj.
He continued to ponder and from here Shivaji Maharaj again called out, "Aray,
Open that door. "
"No one should open the door of the fort. It is said that no matter what happens, the door of the fort should not be opened until the evening of the night. It is said that even if it happens, our Maharaj will never break the order of Savat. B lungya sungya will come and say Maharaja's name and open the door. Amma doesn't know this. Maharaj had no choice now. They did not want to break the rule that they themselves had laid down by suppressing fear. Maharaj spent the whole night outside the fort in the open.
It's morning. Gadala woke up. Slowly the gates of the fort opened. The watchman saw that the night guest was at the door. After checking them properly, they were taken inside.
But when the watchman came to know during the inquiry that it was really Maharaj who he had seen at the door at night, he was shocked. He began to see his downfall. The face fell in fear.
Maharaja noticed the condition of the watchman. He approached the guard with a calm step. Patted him on the back. He removed the collar from his own neck and put it on his neck. And said, "Our sovereignty rests on the lives of honest comrades like you."
